Chayah House serves as a temporary shelter with 22 beds, private showers, and laundry facilities. We serve 3 meals per day and are staffed by house parents.

Getting food boxes ready for hand out

Families and individuals can receive one food box a month. Boxes are based on family size and contain enough food to feed a family for at least three days. Staples, which consist of dry beans, rice, flour and pasta, are available weekly. Bread, produce, and dairy products are distributed whenever available.

Each month over 21,000 pounds of food are given away.

We have a large selection of clothing for all ages. Furniture, household items, and appliances are available. Items are examined to ensure they are usable before they are placed in the shopping area. On average every month 9,000 items are distributed to families. Our warehouse is operated almost entirely by faithful volunteers who have a heart for helping those less fortunate.
